Do not ever consider Velocity Micro
I purchased a Velocity Micro Xtreme PC 2 system years ago and it has never worked properly and has been nothing but a source of trouble and frustration. It has been returned for warranty work 3 times, the most recent repair took a month, and it still does not work.

I purchased the extended warranty just in case I encountered issues with the system. From day one the mother board was defective and the machine never worked. Each time the machine was sent in for warranty repair they wiped the hard drive and operating system clean. This meant reinstalling the operating system and ALL software. The most recent efforts to get the machine working has not been successful since the product key for the Windows XP operating system now does not work and the system has crashed.

I called warranty support to see if I could get the machine running and they announced that my warranty for technical support has expired. I am not even sure the machine has been fixed as each time it has gone back for repair it was returned in a condition that I was unable to get it working. When asked what was repaired, fixed, or replaced I was never able to get an answer. The machine has been out of service or in for repair for more than 3 months over the last three years. Not a record to be proud of.

Velocity Micro tech support was inadequate, took far too long when repairs were needed and the machine has never functioned properly from day one. Don’t end up beating your head against the wall- go to a known brand manufacturer.

I originally went with VM after much research and reading reviews from the major PC magazines. They don’t always get it right!

Very Fast System
Very impressed with out of the box performance. Well constructed PC using performance brand name parts (though to keep cost down they are the low end models). Have had no problems at all and runs games on highest settings. Only con would be slightly more fan noise than previous Dell unit, but for better cooling it does the job. Good value for the parts etc..could have built it a bit less cost, but would have spent the time and have no warranty or QA offered by Velocity Micro. Note: this is not a listed item on VM’s website seems to be only offered at Amazon & NewEgg.

The major magazines rating VM are nothing but on the mark! You must try one. You will not be disappointed!
