Takes the work out of making DVDs
I just got this great little gadget a few weeks ago and so far I’ve converted about twenty Hi8 and VHS tapes to DVD. You just plug it in and follow the instructions on the little screen and before you know it, there is your finished DVD that plays on any of our players in the house. I’ve also tried plugging an SD card with photos into this machine and it asked me if I wanted to make a slide show of the DVDs. To my surprise not only does it make an excellent slide show but added music as well! I found out later that if you put one mp3 on the SD card it will use that as your background music. Fantastic! We turned a large box of old home movies into a neat stack of DVDs and now we don’t need to buy a new camcorder since we can just keep converting new Hi8s that we make.

Sony easy to use DVD burner
Great product. Sets up quickly and extremely easy to use. I have converted several old VHS-C recordings to DVD and am very pleased with the outcome. Video quality from VHS-C is not exactly great, but you have to consider the source. This burner will make DVD’s from several input options and I like the SD/Memory Stick slot. It will make a DVD slideshow from memory card pictures from your digital camera. I intend to burn the rest of my VHS-C/MiniDV collection as soon as I can find the time.

Easy to used and good results
The Sony VRDMC5 is very easy to use, you can transfer the old VHS video memories in DVD with very good quality, you can’t edit because once you record you can’t rewind the dvd, but you can pause the recording and choose what you want to record next and recorded, I like this recorder, the editing process I will do it in my computer once I have my old memories on a Dvd.
