40″in Sony Bravia 10805
It is just great! We are totally enjoying moving into the 21st century. Some channels are fuzzy, but we are still on local cable and I think when we change to satellite in the new year, it will be better. Not to give anyone the wrong impression, it’s the reruns that are snowy.

Black and white movies display with a green shimmer3
A person’s patterned clothing (small checks, small stripes)often has a green shimmer. Otherwise it works well.

I just got this beast yesterday and now I’m in love:) I had a 32″ Panasonic before that, but I wasn’t impressed with the size. With my Sony, I’m now impressed with the size. It’s great, cause I have a hobbit like den for my living room, so the viewer becomes totally immersed in the screen.
My only slight gripe is the color. With the Pansonic, the colors were so vibrant. I notice the Sony is a little more subdued (but then again, I notice all other TVs are the same way). But maybe thats because the Panasonic was pushing unrealistic colors (it was like a freaking video game!). At any rate, I’m used to the Sony’s colors now.

One question. On the TV, there is a noise adjustment selection. What does that mean? I have a camera, and understand what noise is for that. Is it the same thing for the TV? If I adjust TV for low noise, what do I get? Less noise? What’s the trade off? Why would anybody even want noise?

Thanks for any advice, and buy this TV!! It rocks!
