Great system![]()
This is one of the best system I’ve ever own. If you are looking for a mid/high range system then this is the one for you. I’ve always been a fan of AMD and i know lately they been off the sack but they still producing.
No Quality Assurance with IBUYPOWER![]()
1. It seems like a good deal when you look at the specs but when I got mine the motherboard was tilted a bit. This made the sound and video card shift in and out of the PCI slot with any movement. I contaced a customer service person and they put me on hold over and over. Finally I got frustrated and took it to Best Buy and they build it in a new box. This cost me an extra $200 but at lease the item works.
2. My mother bought one at the same time and it came with a glitch in the operating system. We had to reload the OS.
0/2 in my family…
Unless you really know what you are doing and are willing to gamble that you got a “good one off the line”.
I would not recommend this manufacturer.
Very Disappointing.![]()
This is not what is advertised. For one, the product page told me that I was getting an NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT 512 MB video card. It’s not. On the order page, it changed to an NVIDIA 8600GT 512 MB, and that’s what I received. I did not notice the change from the product page to the order page until I received the product, and had gone back to look at everything. The Amazon product description somewhat gets this right calling the video card a “8600M GT”.
Also, the product description showed that the computer would have this:
6 USB 2.0 ports for connecting a wide range of peripherals–from digital cameras to MP3 players (2 front, 4 rear).
There are only 4 USB 2.0 ports. There are no front USB 2.0 ports.
1 eSATA for connecting an external hard drive. No eSATA.
Digital video output: 1 DVI. Yes.
Analog video output: 1 VGA. Yes.
Audio: headphone and microphone (front), 6-channel audio ports (rear).
Also deceptive. There are no headphone and microphone jacks in the front, and there are only line in, microphone, and speaker jacks in the back. There are no 6-channel audio ports in the rear.
2 PS/2 for connecting mouse and keyboard. Yes.
1 RJ45 for connecting to an Ethernet network. Yes.
1 parallel printer port. Yes.
Although, I am happy with the product as it is an upgrade over my 6 year old, 1.6 Ghz, 40 GB Harddrive, 128 MB video card dinosaur, the product page was deceptive and the computer does not contain all that is advertised.
If I had had a more modern computer than the above mentioned, I would have probably been irate and would have only given 1 star. I’m still a little bit peeved, and will contact Amazon.com in the near future about this.
