Helped Me Eliminate Carple Tunnel Discomfort![]()
I purchased this mouse to help reduce the carple tunnel discomfort I was experiencing. After 2 1/2 years of use it has been very successful for this purpose and my carple tunnel discomfort has all but disappeared. My strategy has been to have a regular mouse and the marble mouse connected to my computer at the same time; and then to switch around from left hand marble mouse usage to right hand marble mouse usage to right hand regular mouse usage, a few times during every hour of computer usage. The marble mouse makes this easy since it can be used with either hand. I also have found it very comfortable to use the marble mouse in my lap.
Horrible ergonimic design![]()
I bought this mouse thinking it would eliminate the finger pain I suffer in my left click finger. Although the trackball allows you to avoid using your left click finger it causes pain and stiffness in the rest of the fingers because of the poor ergonomic design. I find my self tensing most of my fingers to hold them off the right click button to avoid accidentally right clicking which happens quite often. This is because of its ambidextrous design. This was a waste of money. It may be good for a casual user of mice but not for someone who uses a mouse 8 hours a day as their profession. I’ve gone back to using my Evoluent mouse which isn’t perfect either but causes me much less pain. Do not buy this mouse if your RSI problem is in your fingers. I am now looking for a foot pedal mouse instead.
Excellent inexpensive trackball![]()
I purchased this trackball as my existing Microsoft Trackball Explorer was aging and I needed another finger operated trackball - thumb operated units caused pain after extended use. I was concerned that the button placement would be uncomfortable however I have found this not to be the case, using the trackball is very natural and I have not experienced any pain during extended use. The ball rolls very smoothly and the smaller inset auxiliary buttons (default to Back on left and universal scroll on the right) work well.
