very usefull
the floating strap is usefull for people who want to take their camera in the ocean. if u have the strap u don’t have to worry if u’ll drop your camera - it’s floating on the surface
Serves its Purpose!
This is a wonderful accessory to any waterproof Olympus camera. It certainly serves its purpose by making my camera (stylus 850sw) float. My only complaint is that it is slightly too large for my wrist and can easily slip off. When in water I usually adjust it so that it fits comfortably on the upper portion of my arm. So no worries, it stays put there. You can adjust the strap to make it larger or smaller. I recommend this product to everyone!
DOES NOT FLOAT SW1030
This would be a great product if it did what it is supposed to do. I tied a string to my camera and tossed it in the lake with the floating strap attached. the strap did not have sufficient buoyancy to float the camera. It sank and kept sinking. When it got to the end of the string 10′ or so, I gave a little tug to see if it would eventually come to the surface. No deal. Maybe the 830 is lighter.
